Altruistic August Day 3: Work didn’t start off very well because I had been moved to another section of the lab and no-one told me. It should have been another person, who moved, but she had been given a ‘special’ job this week so they left her where she was and moved me. It was strange because, even though I was being moved from my *least* favourite section, to my *most* favourite section, I found it really difficult. I’m not as ‘flexible’ as I once was and find it hard to switch ‘hats’ on a whim. I had mentally prepared myself for my least favourite area and it took me a while to settle. The person, who should have switched, still offered to but I didn’t want to interfere with what she was meant to be doing. It wasn’t her fault they hadn’t accounted for the task, she’d been told to do, when creating the rota. I suppose I was ‘kind’ and ‘supportive’ in that sense but I certainly didn’t feel I was. But, after a while, I found my groove and was able to resolve some issues for people, on the phone, which always makes me happy. 🥳 As it turned out, they had done me a favour by moving me. Some workmen were in my original section, banging and clanging all day long. I had a lucky escape because I think that would have tipped me over the edge. 😅 📸 I am really pleased with the way the lizard’s legs are looking as I incorporate the stripe colours into his legs 📸 beautiful rich coloured hydrangeas by the chap at work 📸 a lovely notecard off @vkmspiers ☺️ 📸 we actually went for a quick badminton session in the park after tea 📸 our hydrangeas at home - I’ve never noticed the teeny flowers before Oh, and in other news, I received a second gynae appointment for next week…I’m just not sure what that’s for. I was only expecting a scan and that’s on Saturday, in the x-ray department. The second appointment is at the gynae clinic. 🤷🏻‍♀️
