Thursday 27th July: E was at nursery, J at work and I was at the charity shop for the day. I felt really rundown with this annoying cold, but it helped distract me to a point, mostly in the morning. I took a box of tissues and antibacterial gel with me. Took some cupcakes in as it was the manager and the other volunteer who I work withs birthday, and they have all made me feel so welcome. The parasol for £8 was still there, so I took it as a sign that I should buy it. I'm looking forward to using it when the sun is next out. 🤔 I also got a sweater for £1.50 in the next size for E. Love a bargain. We got so much done today. We replenished the majority of the areas in the shop and got more out and prepared upstairs for in the week. We organised all the fancy dress costumes into categories, e.g. Halloween, World Book Day, Nativity, Superheroes etc. My right ankle was swollen when I got home so I iced it for a bit and then later went for a bath. Checked my watch when I got home though and I didn't realise I'd done over 18,000 steps. 😮 Sausage and vegetables tray bake for tea. 🍽 We all went to bed early tonight, as soon as E had settled.
