Wednesday 5th July: Well, I'm a complete donkey. I got the wrong night to have our haircut. We were sat waiting for our hairdresser friend to turn up, and I checked my messages and she's not meant to be here until tomorrow. So I will look forward to a haircut tomo evening instead. π πββοΈ E went to nursery this morning as usual, but got a call about 10am to say his right eye looked sore and they think he may have the start of conjunctivitis, so Uncle P took me to pick him up and I managed to get him some eye drops from the GP. The pharmacy wouldn't sell me any because of his age, but the GP said they could have done. It's one of those where I'm stuck in the middle and I just need help to treat my son's eye. Anyway, E was hysterical having them put in, so lots of cuddles and attention this afternoon. He must have been so worn out and feeling rubbish as he fell asleep at 6.30pm. Managed to get a load of washing done after the weather brightened up. Had E's IEP review meeting this afternoon, virtually. I was happy with how most of it went, but I just need to get some clarity about a couple of things. We had his appointment with the community paediatrician last week, who was lovely, and with asking us questions and with all the evidence from all the different professionals, she said it is highly likely E will be diagnosed with autism at the next appointment, when she meets him in person. Approx 2-3 months wait. I've always noticed E's different ways of thinking and processing information, his sensory seeking, and his differences in socialising, and deep down I've suspected autism since he was around 18 months old, but to have the paediatrician validate that and reassure us, I felt so emotional. It was a sense of relief in a way. He will always be the most beautiful, incredible boy in my eyes, and as long as he's happy and healthy, that is all I care about. I have no doubt whatsoever he will do amazing things. He surprises and amazes me on a daily basis. Anyway, I've got tears in my eyes writing all that, and none of it was intended to be in this post. After seeing pics of @Pauline1964_YOU's shed, it got me in the mood to get started on painting our garden fence again. I did a little bit after E went to bed. I thought if I do a little each night or every other night, it will soon get done. Then I have a plan to give the shed and E's mud kitchen a lick of paint too. I might be getting a bit ahead of myself. π€π Now enjoying a relaxing bath as hubby has gone to bed as he's got an early start. Last photo - This kids travel urinal arrived today. I sent a pic to J and joked that I'd buy him one for when he's out in his lorry. π
