June photo challenge day 3 WEATHER We’ve had another beautiful day, with nice blue skies and warm temperatures. If anything, it gets a bit too hot really but still nice as I’m a summer girl! 😁 ☀️ After breakfast, we went to the two Saturday farmer’s markets in downtown and bought some nice veggies that we needed and had a wonder around. We bought a slice of cake each from a stall I love and I asked the owner if she uses figs as I normally have more than I know what to do with, even after giving plenty away to friends, coworkers and neighbors and I’d thought of her as everything she sells is nutrient rich and full of wholesome ingredients… she does and was very happy about my offer to give her some when they’re ready and said she will happily trade for some goodies too. Even if that wasn’t my intention I was very happy with that idea! ☺️ Then we returned home and gathered a few things together and had a light lunch al fresco! In the afternoon I watered some plants in the garden whilst chatting to mum and a friend who was with her. Later on I wanted to get ahead and do some food prep for tomorrow and also bake a carrot cake as it will be hubby’s birthday. That way tomorrow I’ll just need to get the frosting on the cake, make a salad and put the lasagna together for dinner. I was missing a few ingredients so made a trip to the grocery store again! I’m glad I did it as it will take the pressure off tomorrow and we can just enjoy the day! I made the cake; vegan ricotta; vegan lentil mince; rhubarb crumble and prepared a pineapple! Dinner will be left over Miso soup, just need to add some rice noodles! 😋 And then to watch tv for a while! What I haven’t told you yet is that just after breakfast I looked out the back window and saw a bear in our yard! The excitement was real!!!! 😁 I know they are around but I’d never seen one! By the time I called out to hubby and grabbed my phone for a picture he was almost out of sight, at the top of the stairs, but I managed! He must be a young one as he’s quite small… very handsome! 🥰🖤 Blimey! This was a post about the weather… eh! eh! I guess nice weather helped most of the activities! 🙃
