Meaningful May Day 13: Before we went to Japan, I was more than a little nervous due to the sheer number of things to remember regarding etiquette. 😅 As it turned out, I needn’t have worried; the Japanese have a very generous spirit towards tourists and understand that their culture is very different for us. One of my favourite moments in Japan was when we went to a Lipton store to buy some English Breakfast Tea teabags (I know, I know…but the hotel room tea was dreadful). Anyway, despite the small purchase, the lady put them in a lovely bag and bowed as she handed them over. Instinctively, we bowed back. 🇯🇵 Image 1 courtesy of Google. The other two are of our vegan ‘decorate your own’ gingerbread Easter Eggs that were reduced in Co-op. We stood side-by-side in the kitchen, whilst decorating them and, without knowing it, both did a dino theme. I am definitely no artist and a four year old could do a more convincing T-rex! At least it had sound effects. 🤣🤣🤣 I wish I’d had more time (it would, undoubtedly, have been a masterpiece) but dad was waiting for a cup of tea. 😆 https://bucketlistjourney.net/japanese-culture-tradition-facts/
