If you think of yourself on a wave in the vast ocean of compassion, then you can think of yourself in your elevator of life. You get into your elevator and stop anywhere you wish. Or you can view thru the glass walls as you pass each level of life. You can see all the good things and the bad that happened. You can final open up your heart center to learn from the good and the bad. To see what the absolute truth of your past life. A question to ponder: if you look back in your life do you see the injustice in the world, or just what happened in your own life? Can you see what your family went thru or can you remember the world? So how do you feel about today's world? Having been studying Buddhism thru the Namchak lineage, I have had my eyes open to all the injustices of our world. I am learning that knowing myself first will open me up to things that are absolutely true not just relative truth. Having my eyes open, even for a small amount of time, I feel that if we all help even one person then we have done what we can. One person can lead to another and another. Our group has some wonderful talks that lead us to a great understanding of ourselves and maybe make a greater good in our surrounding community.. and the world at large. One wave of compassion at a time! So let us life each day as a new beginning, let us learn from ourselves, friends and groups we call family. Ever morning is a new day to learn, to show compassion to yourself and all sentient beings. A new day to give gratitude for the person you where and the person you are becoming.
